Pet Portrait Commissions
These pet portraits are hand painted in watercolour and are a lovely way to capture your loving pets character in a unique way that will last for years to come.
I've refined my process over the years to now using the best quality paper and paints that I know. I want you to have a piece of art to treasure and remember your beloved pet by. My main focus is on the eyes and really trying to bring out your furry friends personality.
This would make a lovely gift for any pet owner or as a memorial to their pet.
How does it work
I work from a photo that shows the best expression that reminds you of your pet the best, then if the colouring isn't quite right on that photo you can send me more photos so I can get the colouring of the eyes and coat right.
This is really important, the quality of your photo has to be a high resolution and sent via email to me, this ensures I can get the details in better for you.
There are three size options
Mini - 5 x 7in £95 plus postage
Medium - A4 8.3 x 11.7in £150 free postage
Large - 11 x 15in £200 free postage
Framing can be arranged at my wonderful framers here in St Ives for an extra cost. Send me a message and I'll let you know the wait times and costs. Please note this won't be with glass it will be styrene for health and safety reasons via post. I've used this before and it looks fantastic. Care should be taken when cleaning so it doesn't get scratched.
The paper is hand cut so there might be 1-2mm difference.
I ask for 50% deposit then the rest on completion. The time it takes depends on current waiting list times. It is normally between 2 - 4 weeks.
5x 7in and A4 can fit the head only of the pet portrait
11 x 15inch can fit a small dog or cat full body or I can do just heads on this size too.
Your completed commission will be sent carefully packed between two pieces of packing board to prevent it bending in the post.

The painting Leana created is so beautiful. I was worried about how it would ship without creasing but I shouldn’t have - it came perfectly flattened and protected despite travelling half way around the world to get to me. I would highly recommend!
